Tommy Keogan makes Irish Team

Huge congratulations to our Club Secretary, Tommy Keogan, on qualifying for the 2023 Irish International Fly Fishing Team. Tommy has been particiapting in the various qualify rounds during the year with the final round taking place last weekend on Lough Sheelin.

Tommy Keogan, representing Leinster, finished in 2nd place overall.
That meant that Leinster were the winners of the Interprovincial Challenge Cup with 817 points, beating their nearest rivals, Connaught who had 622 points.
Tommy also won the Moylett Cup as the top Leinster rod.
That was the final competition of the year and a huge congratulations to Tommy who has now qualified for the Irish International Team for 2023.

Trim Athboy Anglers are the top club.

The ITFFA Club Championship took place on Lough Lene with a total of 24 four man teams involved.
Trim Athboy Anglers were represented by Marc O’Regan (Captain), John Maguire, Tommy Keogan and Dermot Leonard.
The club were crowned ITFFA Club Champions after catching and releasing 24 trout between them,
which was a fantastic achievement on the day.

Pat O’Toole wins on Sheelin.

Pat O’Toole finished off a fantastic year for the club by winning the annual Garda Competition on Lough Sheelin. Pat weighed in the heaviest fish at over 5lbs to take top spot.
