The 2nd river Boyne clean up this year will take place on Sunday the 20th of August 2023 at 10.00am. Meeting in the public car park beside Aldi, Swift Street. Please wear suitable foot wear, it is likely to be wet and muddy. If anybody has gloves or pickers from the last clean up, please bring them along, if not they will be supplied. After the clean up there will be refreshments at the Boyneista Coffee Dock. At 12.30 kick sampling will be demonstrated led by Finbarr Quigley, scientific officer with Meath County Council he will also identify the invertebrate which live in the river.
We urge as many members to come along next Sunday and take part. This is an excellent public relations opportunity for our club.

Please note if the rain continues this week and the river is still in flood the clean up will be confined to the town area of the Boyne, Newtown to Aldi.
