We had another twenty plus senior anglers and two juveniles taking part in our competition today, the Searle Cup and the Fr. Jennings Cup.
Although the juveniles didn’t produce fish for the weigh in it was great to see them out on the river. The seniors managed a decent bag of fish with the winner weighing in at just over 1lb. The winning fish was caught by Dessie Hamilton and he received his prize from our club Secretary, Tommy Keogan.
In second and third place we had Barry Callan and Dermot Leonard Jnr. who were presented with their prizes by Tommy Keogan.
In recognition of his participation, Juvenile Sonny McNally receives his prize from Tommy Keogan.
Our next competition, the William Anderson Cup, takes place on Friday 10th June from 7.00pm to 11.00pm and is the first of our evening events. Meeting at the usual spot in the car park beside Aldi.
